A charcoal grey and chrome scheme for Kaleidoscope 1.5+
Gunmetal 1.1
An "industrial look" variant of Chroma Grey for Kaleidoscope 1.5+

These schemes are compatible with Kaleidoscope 1.5 thru 1.6, and can be used with the Doublescroll control panel too.
They are, of course, freeware. (Make people pay for K schemes? What a naff moneygrabbing idea!)
The idea behind the first two is simple, a very dark blue velvety backdrop or a charcoal grey backdrop, with chrome widgets and highlights.
The scrollbars feature two shades of chrome, and the arrows light up red when pressed.
Black and white is NOT and will not be supported.
Gunmetal goes a stage further. The window headers feature a grille-type pattern of perforations, and the scrollbars are more elaborate. They no longer "flow" through the growbox, and they feature a fairly sophisticated palette of metals. Also, the pressed buttons become blue instead of red.
Black and white is NOT and will not be supported.
Version notes: Gunmetal 1.1 fixes a wrong utility growbox, updates version info, and includes an "industrial" windowshade widget sound.
Warning: Whilst Chroma grey and Gunmetal are easy to work with and restful on the eyes, prolonged exposure to Chroma Blue can give you eyestrain, especially if you squint to pick out the 3D highlights (which are definitely there, but which are very dark..). If your eyes start getting tired, change schemes!
A very big THANK YOU goes to Layne Karkruff for his help with the chrome radio buttons, which he sent me within MINUTES of my asking him for help. Extraordinary. Layne's superb schemes can be found at <http://www.blueskyheart.com>. His work constitutes a major landmark in the world of Kaleidoscope.
